Just a word of thanks for all youíve done.
When I realized that I was going to have to find a way to qualify my mother for Medi-Cal, I felt lost. I wanted to protect what little she had, but had no clue how to do it. I had no idea of where to turn, what to do, or where to even begin to find out. I knew I was going to have to face the bureaucracy that intimidated me. Happily, the nursing home where my Mom resided gave me your brochure and suggested I call.
From our first contact, I knew I was in good hands. You not only told me what every step of the process would be and what my alternatives were, your experience and obvious expertise were enormously reassuring; exactly what I needed.
As things progressed, you were there for me every step of the way. You explained the process, how I could legally protect my Motherís assets, explained the paperwork I would need for Medi-Cal and how to obtain it. Always accessible, you promptly returned me phone calls.
When it came time to go to Medi-Cal, you were there to fill out the mountain of paperwork and help me deal with the interview.
I was so happy that you managed to do all this at the low end of what you quoted me it would cost for your services. How refreshing!
My Mother qualified the other day and an enormous load has been lifted from my familyís shoulders. You made an extraordinarily difficult time bearable and for that my family and I are filled with gratitude.

To Whom It May Concern,
I highly recommend M.R.S.! I donít think I could have completed the myriad requirements to apply for Medi-Cal for my mother without their help. There are so many details and it helped to have things laid out in a list, so it could be completed at the right times.
We have just completed the process and I also know they are available in the future if a question arises. My mother is now secure and Kathryn and Les were a pleasure to work with throughout the process.
Thank you for saving my sanity and taking care of Motherís well being at a time when I thought I had let my family members down and had no where or no one else to turn to. What can I say! I love you guys.
Dear Miss Humphres,
My mother was placed in a nursing home on November 10, 1999. I had a meeting with you on November 11, 1999 to qualify my mother for Medi-Cal. On December 8, 1999, I received a notice from your office that she had been qualified for Medi-Cal. I was amazed and pleased at the speed that you were able to accomplish this feat. Six years ago, I had to qualify my father for Medi-Cal. This took me five months, several meetings with Medi-Cal, a lot of frustration and time lost from my work to accomplish what you did in just one monthís time.
Your service made this a painless process for our family. You were not only a God send, but worthier ever penny spent.
Thank you for all of you effort. It was a pleasure working with you.

There will never be enough words for me to sing your praises. The muck and mud of problems I had with Medi-Cal seemed like it was going to consume me, my finances and family. Then my accountant at the rest home where my mother was said he couldnít help me either, but that he knew of a group called Medi-Cal Regulation Specialists. I had nothing to lose. I was at the end of my rope with Medi-Calís endless stalls and lack of communication.
Within weeks of hiring your services, all was taken care of. I donít know how you did it so well, but I knew from your correspondence to me that you got things done well on my motherís behalf. Bless you. Thank you.
I just wanted to say thank you again for everything you did to help my family and I obtain Medi-Cal coverage for my husband. I donít know what we would have done without you. Iím sure that if we had not had your help, my husbandís application would have been denied and I would have ended up using most, if not all, of our remaining assets paying for his hospital care.
During the processing of his case, I admired your persistence during this five month ordeal and the way you handled the situations that came up where you felt the county was not interpreting the Medi-Cal regulations properly or their inappropriate requests for additional information. In each instance, you pursued the matter and did not relent in your efforts to get them to change their position or make a proper decision. After all your efforts to prove the county was misinterpreting their own regulations and ultimately suggesting we elicit an attorney, we prevailed when the State intervened and the county had to reverse their position. My husbandís Medi-Cal benefits were then approved, retroactive to the original application date. Had it not been for your knowledge and expertise, I probably would have had to sacrifice even more of our assets in order to receive any type of Medi-Cal benefits for my husband.
Both my family and I really appreciate your expert advice and caring attitude during the whole process. I wish there was more I could say or do to express my gratitude and appreciation.
Please feel free to use me as a reference for your business. I highly recommend you and the services your company provides to anyone who is seeking Medi-Cal benefits.

Kathryn Humphres has worked with our office for a little over a year. We have nothing but great things to say on her behalf. Her work is well worth the investment. She has helped families with eligibility problems and helped us with problem families. She works well with difficult residents and brings us great, positive results. This facility has prospered from her assistance and we will continue to use her services.

When my sister and I met with you on Thursday, we were overwhelmed, quite frankly. You suggested we contact Medi-Cal Regulations Specialists for assistance. I couldnít get to a telephone fast enough. That afternoon I spoke with the M.R.S. Regional Manager. On Monday, I changed my schedule and drove to Rohnert Park to meet with M.R.S. After the first meeting, I realized we were on the right track.
Since Monday, I have assembled all the documents requested and M.R.S will be dealing with our case from here on out.
On behalf of my sister and I, we canít thank you enough for the referral to M.R.S.
My wife and I really appreciate the excellent work that M.R.S. did in qualifying her mother for Medi-Cal coverage. You and your staff were always available to answer questions and concerns in a very timely manner. The written reminders letting us know what documents were needed for our motherís file were very helpful.
The day that the Eligibility Technician called me instead of M.R.S. had mentioned that whomever had completed the application had done such an outstanding job that they would submit it for approval as soon s possible, is a testimony to the great work you and your staff do in helping people like us, care for their loved ones. Without the help of M.R.S, it would have been very difficult.
On behalf of my family and I, we would like to thank you and your staff for doing a fabulous job in getting Medi-Cal for my wife.
After having extensive surgery in September, a broken hip, other medical complications and her medical insurance reaching its lifetime total, the insurance was no longer there to help with the bills. Also, because of her age at the time of the incidents, Medicare was not available.
After finding out from the hospital that her bill was well over one hundred thousand dollars and growing, we approached the business office at the hospital to see if we qualified for Medi-Cal. After a brief discussion with the Medi-Cal officer assigned with our case, it was denied and he suggested that we start making payments.
After investigating the situation further, I was informed to go to the Southern Caregivers Resource Center and explain to them the situation we encountered. They called you at M.R.S. and made an appointment for which you graciously reviewed our documents and calculated that YES INDEED, WE QUALIFIED FOR MEDI-CAL FOR MY WIFE!
After we filled out documents and showed evidence of our financial status to send to our county, we were continuously and persistently denied by an inexperienced Medi-Cal analyst assigned to our case. The only way you could get this resolved was to contact her supervisor and fax them documents to prove we were compliant with their Medi-Cal regulations book and asked them why we were denied. It was somewhat approved and you, Kathryn, had to go in again and explain to them the coding the Medi-Cal analyst had inserted, was indeed wrong and told them to correct it. Finally, it worked.
There was no way that I could communicate with Medi-Cal personnel because of the terminology and coding. Kathryn, you were able to talk to them and get a supervisor involved when it was needed.
Thank you for your diligence and persistence; it finally paid off. Our family could not have ever done what you did for us. Although my wife passed away, bills are manageable now.

To Whom It May Concern,
It is with great enthusiasm that I recommend the services of Kathryn Humphres of Medi-Cal Regulation Specialists. Kathryn has significantly reduced the Medi-Cal losses at Montgomery Convalescent Hospital. Additionally, her services to both families and the billing staff have shortened the Medi-Cal process dramatically. She has provided training to facility staff increasing their efficiency, billing denial resolution and knowledge of facility rights as providers.
She has established a proven track record for getting cases reopened that have been closed for months. The facility has recovered monies that would have been written off without her assistance. The cost of Kathrynís services is less then 1% of monies recovered. I can think of no better investment for the facility than her services. Where other consultants are an expense, her services have unquestionably improved our bottom line. As an administrator I can assure you that we place extreme confidence and value on her services. We cannot afford to be without them. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me personally at (xxx) xxx-xxxx.

I could not have done this without the help of Medi-Cal Regulation Specialists.
I donít think I could have achieved the relationship I have with Medi-Cal without Kathryn Humphresí help. Thereís so much to consider; the average person could not do it alone Ė especially under stress.
To Kathryn Humphres and Crew,
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
